Sunspeed Transport Services Ltd provide a specialist transportation service to the technology sector & also provide offsite server suites for their customers.
Sunspeed wanted to create 3 flexible data server suites for customers to use at their Bracknell site and having used Hampshire Mezzanine Floors before at their Farnborough site on numerous occasions, they approached Hampshire Mezzanine once again.
With a cleanroom type requirement for servers to operate in, an area in the warehouse needed to be created to form a clean & quiet work environment. The area under the existing concrete offices proved ideal. HMF recommended using a double skin modular steel partitioning system to form the 3 suites, server room & a new toilet for the suites.
A particular challenge for Sunspeed was trying to estimate the size of the rooms that would be required by their diverse client base. The solution was to make the inner walls removable to allow the available space to be used as either 3 suites, 2 larger suites or even just 1 large area depending on their clients’ requirements. Hampshire Mezzanine not only installed the double skin insulated partition system but they also installed the vinyl flooring, lighting, emergency lighting & air conditioning systems as well as fitting out a high specification toilet for the clients use whilst using the work suites.
Hampshire Mezzanine worked with the client’s existing sub-contractors closely to ensure the project was installed in a timely & safe manner ensuring that the project was completed on time over a 3 week period & to their original budget requirement.
Future plans to extend into the warehouse with a mezzanine floor & rest room have already been drawn up ready for the clients future expansion plans.
