HMF have worked with Contour Electronics based in Hook for over 10 years, installing their mezzanine floor when they first moved into their new building in Hook back in 2014.
Since then HMF have added a large secure storage area onto the mezzanine floor, however it was a new meeting room that was now needed.
HMF were invited to quote for altering the secure store room into a new meeting room and separating the existing server area into a small server room to be secure and separate from the new meeting room.
HMF were awarded the works and started the works promptly within a few weeks.
Firstly carpet protection sheets were laid to the existing carpeted floors to protect them from the new partitioning works. Then 75mm stud partitioning was installed with insulation to the voids for increased sound reduction qualities. The walls were taped and jointed for a smooth wall finish and then decorated to match the existing surrounding area. This created an easily accessible quiet meeting area for staff and customers to use, and still maintained an area for office storage in the rear.
HMF also removed a digital code lock from an existing door and resited this onto the store room door as well as fitted a cover over the old lock location.
Upon completion of the works the team removed the floor protection sheets and then gave the area a full clean so that Contour Electronics could fit their meeting room furniture. The works were installed over three days to reduce disruption to the office staff.
