Hendy Group required a new parts department facility at their Tunbridge Wells site and once again came to Hampshire Mezzanine Floors for a solution.
The installation included tyre racking constructed from Dexion LS3 Longspan shelving. Dexion Hi280 shelving was also installed in different depths to accommodate very small, small and medium parts storage.
Low height parts picking racks were provided to the workshop as well as flammable cabinets, safety steps and lockable doors for expensive parts which were fitted as part of the Dexion Hi280 range to match aesthetically.
HMF also fitted some moulding racks for load liners and car mats constructed from 1m deep Dexion LS3 Longspan shelving, with metal shelves pitched at close proximity for high density of storage.
Mesh was fitted to the backs of the shelving to allow lighting and air movement between the aisles along with steel end panels at the ends of the runs which gave a neat modern finish.
Adjustable dividers were also specified to enable parts to be stored and separated. Arco blue plastic bins were also supplied in 2 different size depths to enable storage of very small parts located in the middle of the bays for ergonomics and ease of picking without bending or reaching as these were placed at standing height pick levels.
An overnight delivery cage area was constructed from WRG single skin partitioning as well as 3 warranty stores again with WRG partitioning with lockable doors complete with euro cylinder locks and thumb turns.
Low level barriers and bollards were installed to protect the single skin partitioning, the walls of the building and the exposed ends of the shelving where pallets are moved around.
The project was successfully completed within the timeframe given and the customer advised the following: “The installation looks really good (as always). Thanks as always for the excellent work.” John Hendy
