Hampshire Mezzanine were asked to provide designs & suggestions for the relocation of AKA (UK) in Portsmouth.

HMF visited the new site & carried out a detailed survey of the new building & then came back with AutoCAD design plans for the introduction of a new mezzanine floor picking facility.

The mezzanine was designed to match an existing concrete floor on site & HMF then prepared an opening to allow direct access from the offices onto the new mezzanine storage platform.

HMF designed the new LED lighting & emergency lighting both below & above the mezzanine floor as well as installing LED low bay lighting for the warehouse.

Bulk pallets were stored in 6m high pallet racking which was designed to maximise space usage within the building.

HMF, as Principal Contractor, also carried out gas pipework modifications as well as modifications to the building’s fire alarm system.

Hampshire Mezzanine Floors administrated a Building Regulations application on behalf of AKA (UK) to ensure all the plans were fully compliant prior to installation.

The mezzanine floor & pallet racking installations were completed on programme allowing AKA (UK) to move when required.
