Elliotts, Southampton’s biggest independent builders merchant had two teams of four Elliotts cyclists partake in the Rad Vlaanderen Stuttgart Cycle Challenge, in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation and Hampshire Mezzanine Floors were proud to be able to sponsor them.
Tom Elliott said: “We are just amateur cyclists making an effort to support very worthwhile charities to try to help others less fortunate that ourselves.”
The initial 60 miles was made up of the cobbled roads of Flanders and then the team passed through the mountainous Ardennes area of Belgium before some tough climbs as the Elliotts teams went South through Germany to Stuttgart, where they were able to relax over a well-earned pint!
Elliotts have paid entirely for the event costs so 100% of sponsorship will go to the charities.
Elliotts were established in 1842, the business has been supplying building materials in the local area for 167 years and has built its reputation on customer care, offering a fast and friendly service with good value for money.
Hampshire Mezzanine have been privileged enough to have worked for Elliotts on a number of projects for over a decade.
